Sunday Evening Life Groups
At Skillman, we believe that spiritual growth best occurs through sincere relationships.
Life groups are a vital part of our church family culture. In these informal settings, we study, pray and share our lives with one another. As we seek to help each other with our weekly struggles, we find that our heartfelt connections lead to sharing of lives and the application of the gospel.
We have several life groups that are available to help you find people who care:
The Dishman Life Group meets Sunday evenings at the home of George and Diane Dishman from 6:00 PM to 7:00 p.m. This year we are studying “The Essential 100” chapters of the Bible.
The Tillotson Life Group meets Sunday night at the home of Nathan and Macey Tillotson. Children of all ages are welcome at this group. At every meeting we spend time teaching our children about God by engaging them in our group. This year we are studying the "The Essential 100."
The Cornutt Life Group meets the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM for pot luck dinner and Bible study in the home of Doc and Linda Cornutt. This year, we have continued to watch and discuss "The Faith Lessons" series of videos produced by "Focus on the Family" and Ray Vander Laan on the Bible Lands and are now completing PBS' "Walking Through the Bible."
The Lakewood Life Group meets at 6:00 p.m. on Sundays
in homes. The group consists of mixed ages, singles, and married
people. We have a conversational format and discuss how the
Bible impacts our lives. Child care is provided. Contact
Dwight Robarts.
The Friends Life Group meets every Thursday night
at 7:00 p.m. Locations change each month. Discussions center
on life application of Biblical passages. The group is made
up of single and married people in their 20s and 30s. Contact
Charme Robarts.
The Knipp Life Group meets monthly, usually the 2nd Sunday. We have a project or two in mind which our group is excited about, including an analysis of our spiritual gifts. Contact Bill and JoAnn Knipp.
